A ‘cognoscopy’ is a term coined by Dr. Bredesen, that refers to a simple assessment, which uses a combination of laboratory and cognitive testing that identifies the contributors to cognitive decline or risk for decline. We all know that when we turn 50 years old, we should have a colonoscopy so that we can detect and treat colon cancer early.  But what about our brains?  Just as with colon cancer, the pathology behind Alzheimer’s takes many years — often decades — to develop, providing for a long period in which we can effectively intervene. 

We all want to maintain mental sharpness into our later years.  If you have a concerning family history, other risk factors, or you simply want to do what you can to stay ahead of potential decline, we can relate!  And we want to help you get started right away.

As a licensed nurse practitioner, Lisa will do a thorough intake and lab assessment, helping you discover your unique biological risk factors and how they impact your brain health.

Coaching

Need to make some changes?  Keith will help you identify priorities and put together a realistic plan and strategic approach.  He will also stick with you to offer ongoing support to accomplish your health goals– and to sustain that growth and change.

 Social Gatherings

These will be fun!  Meet others who are in the same boat, and try some of Lisa’s delicious recipes while we celebrate victories and share in our fight for health

We will guide you through a two week intake phase where we will gather information to understand your risk. 

Tools we will use:

  • Detailed clinical history 
  • Holistic health inventory
  • Overnight oximetry to rule out sleep apnea
  • A comprehensive laboratory assessment
  • Questionnaire to review your history of toxin exposure
  • Completely private online cognitive screening- Results come to you directly.

Can I purchase individual sessions instead of going through a program?

Our goal is to provide a quality experience that gives people valuable information and support in a cost effective manner.   The group model is the best tool for accomplishing this goal.  We are happy to offer individual clinical and coaching sessions as follow up to the group program.

Can I purchase individual sessions instead of going through a program?

Our goal is to provide a quality experience that gives people valuable information and support in a cost effective manner.   The group model is the best tool for accomplishing this goal.  We are happy to offer individual clinical and coaching sessions as follow up to the group program.

Can I use my insurance to pay for this program?

The program cost is a private pay expense, but we can bill your insurance for the lab costs.

What is the cost of the program?

The cost of this 8 week program is 650$ per person, or 1200$ if you sign up with a partner.  Your partner can be a spouse, sibling or friend.

Not included in the cost:  the laboratory costs can be billed to your insurance, submitted to your HSA or paid out of pocket.  The typical out of pocket cost is approximately 350$.
